I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) approaching therapy from a curious, open, and non-judgmental stance. Compassionate care, empathy, and mindfully based are the foundations that allow her to creatively walk alongside you on your personal journey.
My personal experiences have led me on a path to this profession. I believe in honouring the whole person in a client-centered approach supporting your authentic self, helping to identify your resiliency and strengths. Through my own experiences in working with children, teens and individuals in the healthcare system for over 10 years, I have developed a toolbox of skills to support you. My aim is to meet you where you are at in life through an integrative lens, creating a safe space for you to explore, moving at your own pace.
My areas of expertise are working with pre-teens (11-13), teens (14-19) and young adults, and adults dealing with, chronic pain and illnesses, trauma, anxiety related disorders, depression, grief and loss, identity and self-worth, relationship issues, family conflict and life transitions.
My educational background includes an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, from the University of Toronto and I completed her Masters Degree in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University. I am a member of the AAMFT and am the administrator for the OAMFT, as well as, a member of the OAMHP. I am currently, pursuing training in Mindfulness Based Somatic Therapy (MBST) as well as, Perinatal Mental Health to grow in my learning with trauma and working with new mothers. Some other modalities I draw upon are Family Systems, DBT, ACT, CBT, and EFT, to support clients.
Outside of counselling I am an avid reader and love to bake exploring new recipes. I have a love for plants and gardening enjoying the quiet of the outdoors.
