I am a Registered Psychotherapist approaching therapy from a curious, open, and non-judgmental stance. Compassionate care, empathy, and mindfully based are the foundations that allow me to creatively walk alongside you on your personal journey.

My personal experiences have led me on a path to this profession. I believe in honouring the whole person in a client-centered approach supporting your authentic self, helping to identify your resiliency and strengths. Through my own experiences in working with children, teens and individuals in the healthcare system for over 10 years, I have developed a toolbox of skills to support you. My aim is to meet you where you are at in life through an integrative lens, creating a safe space for you to explore, moving at your own pace.

My areas of expertise are working with adults, young adults, youths and families with: anxiety related disorders, chronic pain and illnesses, trauma, infertility, pregnancy loss, family planning, post-partum mental health, grief/loss, relationship issues (individual only), family conflict and transitions.

My educational background includes an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, from the University of Toronto and I completed my Masters Degree in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University. I am trained in Integrative Somatic Therapy Practice (ISTP) Level 1 & 2, Perinatal Mental Health to grow in my learning with trauma and working with new mothers. I have trainings in other modalities which I draw upon that includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, and EFT, to support clients.

Outside of counselling, I am an avid reader and love to bake exploring new recipes. I have a love for plants, gardening and enjoy the quiet of the outdoors.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being. The Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and client enter into a psychotherapeutic relationship where both work together to bring about positive change in the client’s thinking, feeling, behaviour and social functioning.
